Bone or somthing sticking out!

Hi my hamster is around 3 months old and there is a bone or something sticking out where the belly button should be. He has been licking it and its yellow i think. it feels hard but i dont really want to touch it and the fur a few cm. arround it is gone. can i treat it myself take him to a vet or see if it goes away. respond asap!!!
