The current model for the QwIRC scripting language will be about as different from mIRCscript as imaginable. I decided not to base QwIRCscript on mIRCscript. Even a loosely based mIRCscript language will only serve to confuse the issue... which features are included and which are not, why do some functions work the same while others don't, why can't I run my mIRCscripts on QwIRC, kind of thing. Although QwIRC serves the same purpose as mIRC, it dosen't do it's job in the same way, the only way I could make a compatibile scripting lanauge would be to make QwIRC feature-for-feature compatible with mIRC, which is something that I'm absolutely not interested in doing (writing a mIRC clone).
The only thing carried over from mIRC are the event names (OnJoin, OnCTCP, etc..) and some of the variable names ($me, $chan, $nick, etc...)
