problem when trying to run in windowed mode

when i try to run in restore or windowed mode qwirc dissapears from my screen and cant be moved back onto it using the right click move command on the start bar, if i right click the start bar and select maximize the window is maximized and everything runs fine, but as soon as i try to run in windowed mode again in dissappears again, all other functions seem to be working fine, can anyone help?
