this usually happens when the person requesting from you is using mIRC. They have to go into mIRC's Options-->Sounds-->Requests-->Send !nickfile as a private message. and tell them to make sure that the box is UN-checked. I've had to tell severl ppl this and then the requests go to the server like they should :)
