Thanks for the quick reply! I ended up going through the registry and pulling out ALL references to qwirc and the 'screen name' that was in use when windoze crashed.
The weird thing is that even after deleting the 'screen name' form evey place, it kept defaulting to the old profile and creating a new (and Blank) folder for the old profile...
I don't know where is was holding the info but windoze would NOT let the old 'screen name' profile go...
STILL would crash even after all that regediting... Then I tried a new reinstall ten minutes ago and it worked fine and the old screen name was finally gone. Eventhough doing the exact same thing last night would cause it to crash! Well have to put this one down to ???
Thanks for the info on the dll and I appreciate you efforts with this program... Since it wasn't working I tried almost every 'other' IRC client out their and I was not impressed...
QwIRC is small and fast and I don't even use the mp3 functions either- it just works faster than the other apps.
